Presidential Blues are an acoustic blues duo consisting of Dean on Resonator Guitar, stompbox & vocals, and “Uncle ” on Harmonica & vocals.
They have been performing since 2016, and initially started out as a Guitar / Bass Duo of Dean with Gary McDonald on bass utilising various guest artists, before “Uncle” joined around 2 years later (one of the best harp players in Australia). Gary stepped down from full time bass duties in 2022 but still appears on occasion as a guest artist
They play a mix of covers and originals in the old delta blues style, with a tinge of Ragtime Jazz thrown in as well. We play locally throughout SE QLD and Northern NSW at most of the established venues, and many festivals as well
All very experienced players, with over 70 + years playing experience between them.
